We invite you to take part in our Joint Preservation – Knee Osteotomies training using unfixed specimens.
The training will cover operative techniques used in the comprehensive treatment of traumatic injuries and degenerative conditions of the knee joint. Osteotomies are not only an effective tool in the treatment of degenerative diseases, but most of all the mainstay of many arthroscopic techniques used in joint repair (involving the menisci, cartilage and ligaments). Mastering this technique is therefore a necessity in the day-to-day work of every orthopaedic surgeon.

The training is organised in collaboration with the ESSKA Osteotomy Committee as an event accompanying this year’s Joint Preservation Congress.

The course will be led by Ronald Van Heerwaarden and Konrad Słynarski, members of the ESSKA scientific osteotomy committee. They will be accompanied by other international osteotomy experts. The course programme includes practice sessions in groups of 2 in the form of a cadaver lab.

The programme includes:
• corrective osteotomy of the proximal tibial epiphysis
• corrective osteotomy of the distal tibial epiphysis
• treatment of knee joint instability in combination with osteotomy
